Claiming first rights from your account

Edited

Overview

Claiming a first right is the same as buying any other sponsorship — add to cart and check out. The difference is the item shows up only on your account during the first-rights window.

Before you start

  • Your first-rights window must be open. Check days remaining.

  • You'll need a card if your chamber is in online mode, or you can use reservation if available.

Step-by-step

  1. Open My First Rights.

  2. Click Add to cart next to each item you want to renew, or use Bulk add to add them all at once.

  3. Click the cart icon and review.

  4. Apply a coupon if the chamber issued one for renewals.

  5. Click Checkout and complete payment as you normally would.

  6. Your renewals will appear in My Orders. The status badges on My First Rights flip from Available to Claimed.

Tips & best practices

  • Claim renewals together. Single checkout is faster and easier to reconcile than five separate orders.

  • If a sponsorship has changed (new perks, new price), the updated details appear at checkout. Read before submitting.

  • Add representatives ahead of the window so they can claim on your behalf if you're traveling.

FAQ

Can I claim only part of an allocation?
Most allocations are all-or-nothing per sponsorship. If you want a different tier, contact the chamber.

What if my card fails on the last day?
Reach out to the chamber immediately. They can sometimes extend by a few hours.

Can someone else pay for my renewal?
If they're a representative on the business, yes. Otherwise the order is tied to the rights holder.
