Connecting Claude via MCP

Edited

Overview

Chamberly supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), letting Claude (Anthropic's AI assistant) read your chamber data and run reports on your behalf — all securely scoped to your chamber. MCP requires the Premier tier.

Before you start

  • Confirm your chamber is on Premier in Settings > Subscription.

  • Have a Claude subscription that supports custom MCP connectors.

  • Generate an API key in Settings > API Keys with the scopes you want Claude to have.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Settings > Integrations > AI Connectors.

  2. Click Connect Claude.

  3. Copy the MCP endpoint URL shown.

  4. In Claude, open Settings > Connectors and add a new custom MCP connector using the URL.

  5. Paste your Chamberly API key when prompted.

  6. Test by asking Claude something like Show me my top 5 sponsors this year.

Tips & best practices

  • Start with a read-only API key while you experiment.

  • Review the list of Chamberly tools Claude has access to so you know what it can do.

  • Revoke the API key in Settings > API Keys to instantly disconnect.

FAQ

What can Claude do with my data?
It can read events, sponsorships, orders, and members; generate reports; and answer queries. It can perform writes only if you grant a read-write key.

Is my data shared with Anthropic for training?
No. Data passed through MCP is governed by Anthropic's standard customer data policy and is not used for training.
