Custom email domain verification

Edited

Overview

Sending email from your own domain (like info@yourchamber.org) improves deliverability and brand trust. Chamberly uses Resend for sending, and you verify your domain by adding three DNS records.

Before you start

  • Have access to your domain's DNS provider (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, etc.).

  • Allow up to 24 hours for DNS to propagate, though most records propagate in minutes.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Settings > Email.

  2. Click Verify Domain and enter your sending domain.

  3. Copy the three DNS records shown — DKIM, SPF, and DMARC.

  4. In your DNS provider, add each record exactly as shown (TXT records).

  5. Return to Chamberly and click Check Status. If all records are green, you are verified.

  6. Update your From Email to use the verified domain.

Tips & best practices

  • Use a subdomain like mail.yourchamber.org if your main domain already has SPF set up elsewhere.

  • Do not remove old records — Chamberly's records are additive.

  • Monitor your bounce rate after switching domains for the first week.

FAQ

What if my DNS provider does not support DKIM TXT records longer than 255 characters?
Use the split-string format your provider supports; most modern providers handle long records automatically.

Why is DMARC required?
DMARC is the modern standard mailbox providers use to confirm legitimacy. Without it, your emails are more likely to land in spam.
