Stripe Connect setup

Edited

Overview

Stripe Connect handles online sponsorship payments. Funds flow directly to your chamber's bank account, with Chamberly facilitating the transaction. Setup takes about 15 minutes.

Before you start

  • Have your chamber's EIN, address, and a bank account ready.

  • Have an authorized signer available — they will need to confirm details.

  • Allow time for Stripe verification (typically minutes, sometimes longer).

Step-by-step

  1. Open Settings > Payment.

  2. Click Connect Stripe.

  3. Follow the Stripe-hosted onboarding flow — provide chamber details, EIN, owner info, and bank account.

  4. Return to Chamberly when complete; the status will switch to Connected.

  5. Run a small test purchase in Test Mode to confirm everything works.

  6. Toggle off Test Mode and process a live transaction with a small dollar amount as your first real test.

Tips & best practices

  • Use your chamber's primary operating bank account for clean reconciliation.

  • Keep your Stripe dashboard email up to date so notifications reach the right person.

  • Stripe takes a small percentage and per-transaction fee — review their pricing on the Stripe site.

FAQ
