Payment mode setting

Overview

Chamberly supports three payment modes: Online, Reservation, and Both. Online requires Stripe Connect. Reservation lets sponsors claim without paying so you can invoice offline. Both lets sponsors choose at checkout.

Before you start

  • Decide how your chamber prefers to collect payment.

  • If using online payments, plan to complete Stripe Connect setup.

  • If using reservations, have an offline invoicing process ready.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Settings > Payment.

  2. Pick a Payment Mode: Online, Reservation, or Both.

  3. If Online or Both is selected, click Connect Stripe and follow the onboarding flow.

  4. Set your default currency.

  5. Toggle Test Mode on while you experiment, off when you go live.

  6. Save the settings.

Tips & best practices

  • Reservation mode is great for chambers who already invoice through QuickBooks.

  • Both mode gives sponsors flexibility but can complicate reconciliation.

  • Test the full purchase flow in Test Mode before going live.

FAQ

Can I change payment mode later?
Yes, anytime. Existing orders are not affected.

Do I need Stripe for reservation-only?
No. Reservation mode skips Stripe entirely.
