Adding a member without invite
Overview
Sometimes you need to create a member record without sending the invite email — for example, when entering historical data, building test accounts, or recording a sponsor who'll set their password later by phone. The direct-add flow handles this.
Before you start
Have the member's email and basic profile info ready.
Decide whether to set a temporary password or leave the account locked.
Plan how you'll communicate the credentials to the member later.
Step-by-step
Go to Sales > Members and click the Add member dropdown.
Choose Add without invite.
Enter email, first/last name, company, and role.
Optionally set a temporary password (the member should change it on first login).
Click Save. The member appears in the list immediately, with no email sent.
Communicate the login credentials securely (in person or via a password manager link).
Tips & best practices
Use this sparingly — invites are the cleanest path for most onboarding.
Always require the member to change their password on first login.
Document why the invite was skipped in the member's notes for audit clarity.
Convert dormant direct-add records to full invites when ready by resending an invite.
FAQ
Will the member see anything different from an invited member?
No. Once they log in, the experience is identical.
Can I invite later?
Yes. Open the member and click Send invite at any time.
