Viewing coupon usage and savings

Edited

Overview

Each coupon tracks how many times it's been used and the total dollar amount discounted. Reviewing these numbers helps you measure campaign success, decide when to expire a coupon, and report ROI to stakeholders.

Before you start

  • Open Marketing > Coupons and click into the coupon you want to inspect.

  • Have a sense of your campaign goals (target redemptions, target spend influenced).

Step-by-step

  1. Open the coupon detail page.

  2. Locate the Usage card at the top.

  3. Note the Times used count.

  4. Note the Total discount given dollar amount.

  5. Click the linked usage list to see individual orders that applied the coupon.

  6. Cross-reference with revenue impact — total order value vs total discount.

Tips & best practices

  • Compare redemption velocity against your usage limit to forecast when you'll hit the cap.

  • Calculate effective discount percentage to gauge sponsor incentive.

  • Use the order list to spot patterns — which sponsors used the coupon and what they bought.

  • Save successful campaigns as a template by duplicating the coupon next year.
