Notification analytics

Overview

Notification analytics tell you how your in-app messages and promotion cards perform. You'll see delivery counts, read rates, click-through rates, and dismiss rates. Reviewing these monthly helps you sharpen messaging and avoid notification fatigue.

Before you start

  • Have at least a few notifications or promotions live for at least 7 days.

  • Open Marketing > Communications and pick the analytics tab.

  • Decide which metric matters most for your goal: read rate (awareness) or click rate (action).

Step-by-step

  1. Open the notification or promotion you want to analyze.

  2. Scroll to the Analytics card.

  3. Note the delivered count, read count, click count, and dismiss count.

  4. Calculate the read rate (read / delivered) and click rate (click / delivered).

  5. Compare against past notifications to track improvement over time.

  6. Use the trend to decide if a follow-up message is warranted.

Tips & best practices

  • Aim for read rates above 60 percent within 7 days for high-priority notifications.

  • Click rates of 5–15 percent are typical for promotions; higher for time-sensitive notifications.

  • If dismiss rates are very high, your messaging may feel intrusive — soften the copy.

  • Archive low-performing notifications so the bell doesn't fill with noise.

FAQ

Can I export notification analytics?
Yes. Use the export icon at the top of the analytics card.

Do dismissals count as reads?
