Sending a sponsor notification

Edited

Overview

Notifications are targeted alerts that appear in the bell icon at the top of the sponsor dashboard. Unlike broadcasts (email), notifications are in-app messages that persist until read. Use them for time-sensitive personal alerts like "Your invoice is ready" or "Your sponsorship was approved."

Before you start

  • Identify the recipient(s) — usually individual sponsors or a tightly-targeted group.

  • Have the message title and short body ready.

  • Optionally prepare a deep link to a relevant page in the app.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Marketing > Communications > Notifications and click New notification.

  2. Pick the targeting mode: all sponsors, specific sponsors, or criteria.

  3. Enter a short, action-oriented title.

  4. Add the body text. Keep it under three sentences.

  5. Add an optional deep link URL so clicking the notification jumps to the right place.

  6. Click Send. Notifications deliver instantly to the bell icon.

Tips & best practices

  • Use notifications for things sponsors must know — they're more disruptive than promotions.

  • Keep the title scannable; the bell preview only shows the first line.

  • Include a deep link whenever the notification implies an action.

  • Combine with email for high-stakes messages so the sponsor sees both.

FAQ

Do notifications expire?
They remain in the bell until the sponsor dismisses them.

Can sponsors mute notifications?
