Sending a one-time broadcast

Edited

Overview

A broadcast is a one-time email sent to a group of sponsors. Use it for announcements, last-minute event details, or curated updates that don't fit a recurring automation. You can send immediately or schedule for later.

Before you start

  • Have your subject line and message body ready.

  • Decide on recipients: all sponsors, specific businesses, or criteria-based.

  • Verify your sender email under Settings > Email.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Marketing > Email > Broadcasts and click New broadcast.

  2. Give the broadcast an internal name so it's easy to find later.

  3. Enter the subject line and from address.

  4. Build the body in the block editor. Drag in headings, paragraphs, buttons, and images.

  5. Choose the recipient group: all sponsors, specific businesses, or use criteria.

  6. Send a test to yourself first to confirm formatting.

  7. Click Send now to deliver immediately, or schedule it for later.

Tips & best practices

  • Keep subject lines under 60 characters so they don't truncate on mobile.

  • Lead with the most important sentence — many readers only see the preview pane.

  • Use buttons for primary calls-to-action so they stand out from body text.

  • Always send a test before broadcasting; mistakes are public once they go.

FAQ

Can I cancel a broadcast after sending?
No. Once delivered, you cannot recall the message.

How many recipients can a broadcast have?
There's no hard cap, but very large sends may be throttled to protect deliverability.
