Countdown, divider, spacer, HTML, and footer blocks

Edited

Overview

Beyond the headline content blocks, Chamberly includes utility blocks that handle structure, spacing, urgency, and legal compliance: Countdown, Divider, Spacer, Custom HTML, and Footer. They are small, but used together they elevate any email.

Before you start

  • Know your email’s pacing — spacers and dividers control rhythm.

  • For Countdown, have an exact target date and timezone in mind.

  • For Footer, have your physical address ready (required for CAN-SPAM compliance).

Step-by-step

  1. Drag any utility block into the canvas.

  2. Countdown: set Target date, Label text, and Colors. The block renders a live ticking timer in real email clients that support it.

  3. Divider: set Color, Thickness, and Style (solid, dashed, dotted).

  4. Spacer: set Height in pixels (typically 16, 24, or 32).

  5. Custom HTML: paste raw HTML/CSS. Use this for embeds or one-off layouts the builder doesn’t cover.

  6. Footer: set Copyright, Address, and toggle Unsubscribe link.

  7. Click Save changes.

Tips & best practices

  • Use spacers instead of empty text blocks for vertical breathing room.

  • Dividers between sections clarify pacing for long emails. Skip them for short ones.

  • Always include the Footer block on broadcast emails — it’s legally required for marketing in most regions.

FAQ

Do countdowns work in every email client?
Most modern clients support animated countdowns. Outlook desktop shows a static fallback image.

Can I edit the unsubscribe link?
The link itself is generated by Chamberly and cannot be customized, but you can adjust the surrounding label text.
