Overview

Chamberly’s email builder is a block-based drag-and-drop editor. You compose emails by stacking blocks — headers, text, buttons, product cards, and more — into a layout that renders cleanly across every major email client.

Before you start

  • The Email Builder is available on Core plans. Email automations require Pro or higher.

  • You need the org_manager or marketing_manager role to create or edit templates.

  • Set your sender name and reply-to address under Settings > Email first.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Email > Templates.

  2. Click Create template or open an existing template.

  3. Drag blocks from the left sidebar into the canvas.

  4. Click any block to edit its content and styling on the right side.

  5. Use the Preview button to toggle Light and Dark mode previews.

  6. Click Send test to email yourself a real render.

  7. Click Save changes.

Tips & best practices

  • Start by duplicating a system template instead of building from scratch — structure and merge tags come pre-wired.

  • Keep your emails to 5–7 blocks. Long emails feel like newsletters, not transactional messages.

  • Always test on Light AND Dark mode before sending. Dark mode changes everything.

FAQ
