Previewing styling changes

Edited

Overview

Chamberly’s styling editor includes a live preview that updates as you change controls. You can also pop into a real public event page to verify how everything renders outside the admin shell.

Before you start

  • Have at least one published event with a featured image and a few sponsorships so the preview is realistic.

  • Open a second browser tab to the public event so you can refresh and compare.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Settings > Styling > Event Page.

  2. The right side of the screen shows the live preview. Adjust any control and watch it reflow.

  3. Click the Desktop / Tablet / Mobile toggle at the top of the preview to test responsive layouts.

  4. Make changes, then click Save changes.

  5. Refresh the public event page in your second tab to confirm the change live.

Tips & best practices

  • Always preview Mobile before saving — most sponsors browse on phones.

  • Unsaved changes do not appear on live event pages. Sponsors only see what’s saved.

  • If preview looks broken, refresh the editor — rare browser caching issues clear up immediately.

FAQ

Can I show changes to my team before publishing?
Not currently. Saved changes go live immediately. Coordinate with your team or stage changes during low-traffic hours.

Why does my preview show different sponsorships than the live page?
Preview pulls a sample event. The live page uses the actual event you visit. Styling renders the same; only content varies.
