Uploading hero images

Edited

Overview

Hero images are per-event, not global. Each event has a Featured image field that becomes the hero on its public page. Strong hero images dramatically improve conversion, so it’s worth investing in good photography or licensed stock.

Before you start

  • Recommended size: 1600x900 (16:9). Smaller works but may pixelate on retina displays.

  • File types: JPG, PNG, or WebP. Max 10MB.

  • Confirm you have rights to use the photo.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Events > All events and open the event you want to update.

  2. Click the Featured image area in the right sidebar.

  3. Drag and drop your image or click Browse to upload.

  4. Crop using the in-app cropper if needed (the 16:9 guide is shown).

  5. Click Save event.

  6. Open the public event page to confirm.

Tips & best practices

  • Avoid heavy text in the image — the hero overlay already includes the event title.

  • Faces and action shots outperform empty venue photos.

  • If you use Overlay hero style, pick an image with darker areas where the title will sit.

FAQ

What if the photo is portrait orientation?
Use the Split or Minimal hero style instead of Overlay or Fullscreen, both of which assume landscape.

Can I reuse the same hero across many events?
Yes. Re-upload it on each event, or duplicate an event and replace the content.
