Setting up an event category landing page

Edited

Overview

Event categories let you group related events — gala season, monthly mixers, signature programs — under a single landing page. Sponsors can browse all events in one place, which is especially useful for chambers with high event volume.

Before you start

  • Categories are managed under Events > Categories.

  • You need at least one published event assigned to the category for the landing page to render content.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Events > Categories and click New category.

  2. Set the name, slug, description, and an optional banner image.

  3. Save. The landing page is live at /events/category/{slug}.

  4. Open any event under Events > All events. Add it to the new category in the sidebar.

  5. Save the event. It now appears on the category page.

Tips & best practices

  • Use category landing pages in your email campaigns instead of linking to individual events — one URL stays current as new events are added.

  • Banner images at 1600x600 fit the landing page hero best.

  • Order events on the landing page chronologically so the next upcoming event is always at the top.

FAQ

Do category pages share the same styling as event pages?
Yes. They inherit your Color Palette and Layout & Theme settings, so they match the rest of your storefront.

Can an event belong to multiple categories?
Yes. Add it to as many categories as needed; it will appear on each landing page.
