Hero section settings

Overview

The hero is the first thing visitors see on every event page. Chamberly gives you four hero styles, height controls, an optional countdown, and a date badge so you can tune the impact level for your audience.

Before you start

  • Pick or upload a hero image (1600x900 minimum recommended).

  • Decide whether you want a countdown to build urgency.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Settings > Styling > Event Page > Hero.

  2. Toggle Enable hero on. (Off hides the section entirely.)

  3. Choose a Style: Overlay (text on image), Split (image on one side), Minimal (text only), or Fullscreen (100vh).

  4. Set Height (Short, Medium, Tall) and Overlay opacity (0–100%).

  5. Set Text alignment: Left, Center, or Right.

  6. Toggle Countdown timer, Date badge, and Location display as needed.

  7. Click Save changes.

Tips & best practices

  • For dense hero photos, raise overlay opacity to 50–70% so text stays readable.

  • Fullscreen looks great on flagship galas but feels heavy for weekly mixers. Use Medium for most events.

  • Turn off the countdown for evergreen sponsorships (year-round programs) to avoid confusion.

FAQ

Where does the hero pull its image from?
From each event’s Featured image. The styling controls how it’s displayed; the image itself is per-event.

Can I disable the hero on one event?
Hero on/off is global. Either turn it off everywhere, or upload a strong featured image for each event.
