Publishing and sending packages
Overview
Once a package is built, you can publish it to your storefront, send it directly to a curated list of sponsors, or both. Publishing controls visibility on the public shop; sending pushes the package via email with a one-click claim link.
Before you start
Make sure all child sponsorships are in
publicorfirst_rightsavailability.Confirm your default email sender is verified under Settings > Email.
Decide who should receive the send: a saved segment, a list of subscribers, or specific businesses.
Step-by-step: Publishing
Open the package under Sidebar > Packages.
Click the visibility toggle in the header and switch to Public.
Click Publish. The package appears on your storefront immediately and is included in shop search.
Step-by-step: Sending
From the package detail page, click Send package.
Choose recipients: All subscribers, Specific businesses, or paste emails.
Pick an email template or write a custom message. Merge tags include the recipient name, package name, and a unique claim link.
Preview the rendered email, then click Send now or Schedule.
Track opens, clicks, and claims under the package's Activity tab.
Tips & best practices
Send to top buyers from last year before publishing publicly to give loyal sponsors first dibs.
Use private packages for one-on-one negotiations — they only render for recipients with the link.
Schedule sends for Tuesday or Wednesday morning for the best open rates.
FAQ
Can I unpublish a package after sending it?
Yes. The send links continue to work for recipients but the package is removed from the public shop.
What happens if a sponsorship sells out mid-send?
The claim link shows a sold-out notice and the package is automatically delisted.
