Bulk importing sponsorships from CSV
Overview
Bulk import lets you create many sponsorships at once by uploading a CSV. It is the fastest way to set up a complex event (10+ tiers) or migrate from a spreadsheet you already maintain.
Before you start
You need an org_manager role to bulk import
The parent event must already exist
Download the CSV template before building your file — column names must match exactly
Step-by-step
Open the parent event from Sidebar > Events
Click Bulk import in the Sponsorships section
Click Download template and open it in your spreadsheet tool
Fill in one row per sponsorship — required columns: name, price, inventory, availability
Optional columns: description, exposure_tier, display_order, benefits (semicolon-separated)
Save as CSV
Drag the file onto the upload area
Review the preview — Chamberly highlights any errors before importing
Click Import
Sponsorships are created with availability set to whatever you specified (default
not_yet_available)
Tips & best practices
Always start with the template — column order and names matter
Set availability to
not_yet_availablein the import so you can review before publishingUse semicolons (not commas) to separate multiple benefits in the benefits column
Import a small batch (3-5 rows) first to check formatting, then run the full file
