Display order within an event

Edited

Overview

Display order controls the sequence sponsorships appear in on the public event page. Sponsors anchor on the first tier they see, so leading with the highest-value tier increases average order value.

Before you start

  • You need an org_manager or chamber_staff role

  • Have a clear hierarchy in mind (usually highest-priced first, but you can also lead with most-popular)

Step-by-step (drag and drop)

  1. Open the parent event from Sidebar > Events

  2. Scroll to the Sponsorships section

  3. Use the drag handle on the left of each row to reorder

  4. Order saves automatically as you release

Step-by-step (manual order field)

  1. Open the sponsorship

  2. Click Edit sponsorship

  3. Set Display order to a number (lower numbers appear first)

  4. Click Save

Tips & best practices

  • Lead with your highest-priced tier — sponsors anchor on it and other tiers feel like a deal

  • Use display order intervals of 10 (10, 20, 30) so you can insert new tiers without renumbering everything

  • Group related tiers together (e.g., all premium tiers, then all standard tiers)

  • If a tier sells out, leave it visible at its original position with a sold-out badge — it builds urgency

FAQ

Does display order affect the Our Sponsors wall?
No. The wall is ordered by exposure tier, then purchase date.

What if two sponsorships have the same display order number?
They appear in the order they were created. Set unique numbers to be precise.

Can sponsors re-sort the list themselves?
Not yet. Display order is fixed for now.
