Overview

Featured images on sponsorships appear on sponsorship cards within the event page and on the public sponsorship detail page. A strong image makes a tier feel more tangible and lifts conversion.

Before you start

  • You need an org_manager or chamber_staff role

  • Have a JPG, PNG, or WebP file ready under 5MB

  • Recommended dimensions: 800x600 (a 4:3 ratio works well in cards)

Step-by-step

  1. Open the sponsorship from the parent event

  2. Click Edit sponsorship

  3. Scroll to the Featured image section

  4. Click Upload image and pick your file

  5. Use the crop tool to set the visible area

  6. Click Save

What works well

  • Photos of past sponsors enjoying the benefit (e.g., a sponsor at the podium for a speaking tier)

  • Mock-ups showing logo placement (signage, swag, slides)

  • Action shots from the event being sponsored

  • Avoid stock photos — they read as generic and lower trust

Tips & best practices

  • Use a consistent visual style across all tiers in one event so the page feels coherent

  • Avoid putting critical text in the image — different layouts crop it

  • Compress images before uploading — large files slow page loads

  • If you do not have a unique photo per tier, use the event's hero image as a fallback rather than no image

FAQ

Can I use the same image for multiple sponsorships?
Yes. Upload once and re-pick from your media library.

What aspect ratio is best?
4:3 (e.g., 800x600) renders well in cards and detail pages.

Why is my image not loading?
Check file size (under 5MB) and format (JPG, PNG, WebP). Refresh the page after upload completes.
