Creating a sponsorship
Overview
A sponsorship is a single tier or product that businesses can buy or claim on an event — for example "Gold Sponsor" or "Beverage Sponsor". Each sponsorship has a price, an inventory count, a list of benefits, and an availability status.
Before you start
You need an org_manager or chamber_staff role
The parent event must already exist (any status — draft, active, or archived)
Decide on price, inventory count, and at least one benefit before starting
Step-by-step
Open the parent event from Sidebar > Events
Click Add sponsorship
Enter a Name (e.g., "Gold Sponsor")
Enter Price in dollars
Set Inventory — how many of this sponsorship can be sold
Add a Short description (shown on cards) and Long description (shown on the sponsorship page)
Upload a Featured image (optional)
Add Benefits one at a time (e.g., "Logo on event signage", "6 tickets")
Pick an Exposure tier — controls placement on the Our Sponsors wall
Set Availability — typically

Tips & best practices
Sort tiers by price (highest first) using the display-order field — sponsors anchor on the top tier
Use 4-6 benefits per tier — too few feels thin, too many is hard to scan
Set inventory honestly — overselling creates manual cleanup
Use exposure tiers to make top sponsors stand out on the sponsor wall
FAQ
Can I change the price after publishing?
Yes, but it does not affect existing orders. New buyers pay the new price.
What is the difference between a sponsorship and a package?
A package bundles multiple sponsorships at a discount. Packages require Pro or Premier.
Do I need to set a featured image?
No, but it makes your sponsorships much more compelling on the public page.
