Inviting your first team member

Edited

Overview

Inviting at least one teammate gives your chamber a backup admin and lets you split work between event creation, sponsor outreach, and reporting. Chamberly supports two staff roles: org_manager (full access) and chamber_staff (limited access).

Before you start

  • You need an org_manager role to invite or change other team members

  • Have the teammate's work email address ready

  • Decide which role they need before sending the invite

Step-by-step

  1. In the sidebar, click Management > Team

  2. Click Invite member in the top-right

  3. Enter their first name, last name, and email

  4. Select a role — Org manager for full access, Chamber staff for limited access

  5. Click Send invite

  6. They will receive an email with a link to set their password and sign in

Role differences

  • Org manager — Full chamber admin: settings, billing, team, payments, all data

  • Chamber staff — Can manage events, sponsorships, and orders, but cannot change billing, team, or payment mode

Tips & best practices

  • Always have at least two org_managers in case one loses email access

  • Use chamber_staff for interns or seasonal helpers to limit accidental damage

  • Resend invites from the Team page if a teammate did not receive the first email — check spam folders too

  • Remove access immediately when someone leaves your chamber
