Completing the 5-step onboarding wizard

Edited

Overview

The onboarding wizard runs the first time you sign in to Chamberly. It walks you through five steps that get your chamber from empty to ready-to-sell in about 15 minutes. You can save and resume between steps, but you cannot skip Organization or First Event.

Before you start

  • Have your chamber name, address, and contact email ready

  • Have your logo (PNG or SVG) and primary brand color handy

  • Optional: Stripe account credentials if you plan to accept online payments

The 5 steps

  1. Organization — Confirm chamber name, timezone, and contact info. This populates your invoices, emails, and storefront header.

  2. Brand Kit — Upload your logo and choose primary, secondary, and accent colors. These flow into every event page and email template.

  3. Stripe — Connect your Stripe account for online payments. This step is skippable if you plan to use reservation mode only.

  4. First Event — Create a starter event with a name, date, and short description. You can edit it later.

  5. First Sponsorship — Add at least one sponsorship tier with a price and inventory count.

Tips & best practices

  • Use a square logo (1:1) for the cleanest fit in headers and emails

  • If you skip Stripe now, your chamber defaults to reservation payment mode — change later in Settings > Payment

  • Use a real upcoming event for step 4 so you can publish immediately after onboarding

  • You can always re-run the wizard from Settings > Onboarding if you want to tweak your starter setup

FAQ

What happens if I close the browser mid-wizard?
Each step saves as you finish it. When you sign back in you resume where you left off.

Can I skip the Stripe step?
Yes. You will land in reservation mode, where sponsors claim sponsorships without paying online. You can connect Stripe anytime from Settings > Payment.

Do I have to publish the first event right away?
No. The wizard creates it as a draft event so you can polish it before going live.
